The Latest Article: A recap of our charlestown showcase

On Wednesday, November 5, we opened the doors of our Charlestown HQ for the RightHand Robotics Product and Workflows Showcase. Customers, partners, investors, and friends from the Boston robotics community joined us for an afternoon of demos, conversation, and an early look at what’s coming next, all as a warm-up for Rockwell Automation’s Automation Fair.

A First Look at RightPick™ One

Co-founder and CEO Yaro Tenzer kicked off the evening with a tour of our latest product and workflow updates, including the first public preview of RightPick™ One. The room got an early look at the system before its full debut at Automation Fair, and the questions ran well past the agenda. The next morning, that same RightPick One was packed up and on its way to Chicago for Automation Fair.

Two Conversations on Data, AI, and the Warehouse Floor

Ian James, our Head of Engineering, led the Data and AI fireside chat with Dave Johnson, Director of Product for Large Behavior Models at Toyota Research Institute, and Sanjay Aggarwal, Venture Partner at F-Prime Capital. The conversation centered on how every pick becomes training data, and what changes when robots can learn new behaviors rather than just follow instructions.

From there the program zoomed out. Brian Campbell, our Head of Customer Operations, led the Warehouse Transformation panel with Greg Bellon (formerly Senior Director of Digital Supply Chain at PepsiCo), Alex Smith (Venture Investing at Rockwell Automation), and James O’Gorman (Automation Solutions at Pregis). Together they connected the dots between research, investment, integration, and real-world operations, and the long road from proof of concept to lights-out fulfillment.

“Automation doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires a talented conductor to orchestrate change, and make that change stick.”
— Annie Bowlby, Head of Product, RightHand Robotics

Demos, Drinks, and Dumplings

After the formal program wrapped, the floor opened up for live demos, drinks, and delicious dumplings from our friends at Mei Mei until close at 8:00.
