Sneak Peek of the Apologistics GmbH Case Study: A Step Towards a Completely Lights-out Order Fulfillment Facility with RightPick

Based in the Netherlands, Apologistics GmbH, a leader in automated online pharma, has invested in a fleet of our RightPick piece-picking robots to integrate with their cube storage automation from AutoStore. Their new 220,000 square feet facility has the capacity to ship €1,5 Bn worth of product a year, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They rely on RightPick to autonomously operate in both inbound receiving and outbound order fulfillment - picking, scanning, and placing thousands of SKUs a day.

Together, we are taking an important step towards a completely lights-out order replenishment, storage, and fulfillment operation.

Logis-Tech Tokyo with Okamura

Last week was exciting for us with events in Brussels and Japan.

A few of us virtually attended GIRP's 6th Supply Chain Conference, allowing us to connect with healthcare and pharma supply chain experts from Europe and around the globe. Our very own Manfred Preiss spoke on a panel for the session, "Driving the Digital Chain," where he discussed new technologies, such as autonomous robots, that have powerful potential to transform the future of the pharmaceutical industry. We were also at Logis-Tech Tokyo, one of the largest material handling and logistics trade shows in all of Asia, with our partner Okamura.
